STATESVILLE, N.C. — A Statesville man is charged with sexually exploiting children after an investigation into a report of child pornography.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has charged Jeremy Wayne Miller, 34, with five counts of third degree Sexual Exploitation of a Child and are expected to file more charges in the future.
On February 15th, 2017, investigators received a a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which prompted an investigation into Miller’s activity.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Miller’s Dropbox account and discovered hundreds of child pornography files. A search of his residence yielded more evidence.
Miller was given a $100,000 secured bond. His criminal history includes charges for Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, Misdemeanor Larceny, and Probation Violation.
