CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Troopers are investigating a deadly accident that happened Monday afternoon on I-485.
According to a witness, a driver merged to get on the off ramp at South Boulevard and slammed into a bridge support.
The driver died on impact, according to Troopers. The vehicle burst into flames shortly after colliding with the bridge support.
Troopers say the victim was a man but his name has not been released at this time.
