NFL legend Mike Ditka’s restaurant in east Charlotte has been named one of the best new restaurants of 2024, according to Yelp.
Catalina Kitchen & Bar, located in the Elizabeth neighborhood at the corner of East 7th Street and North Caswell Road, was named the 25th best new restaurant across the country in 2024.
Yelp reviewers describe the restaurant as “perfect for a date or gals night.”
“I cannot believe this place is a newer restaurant. Absolutely amazing and operating as if they have years of experience!” Yelp Elite Jennifer D. said. “Stylish interior, excellent customer service from each employee, and the food and drinks were delicious. My party of 4 left full, happy, and ready to try more items.”
Catalina Kitchen & Bar is the fourth restaurant under Ditka’s Restaurant Group, which has been operating restaurants in Chicago and Pittsburgh since 1997.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of food options from salads, pasta, lobster and shrimp rolls and award-winning steak. There are also plenty of Happy Hour deals to enjoy, such as Martini Mondays, Craft Cocktail Tuesdays and $2.50 oysters from the raw bar.
