GASTONIA, NC — A 38-year-old man has died after being taken to the hospital overnight following a shooting.
According to police, Adrian Woods was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center shortly after 3:30am with a gunshot wound. Police say Woods ran off of the road on Oakwood Street and was trying to push his truck out of a ditch when he was shot.
Woods later died at the hospital from his injuries, officials say.
Police have not released any information on a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
