CHARLOTTE, N.C.–It began with flurries in Kannapolis, and Codi Kent hopes it didn’t cause any problems. “As long as it doesn’t freeze to the ground, I’m not worried at all. It would be nice to have a snow day. Definitely,” said Kent.

In Huntersville, crews prevented sidewalks from getting slippery as shoppers stocked up. “Got some sausage, and got some rolls and bread and milk,” said Cliff Owens.

Catandara Hart was ready to hunker down in her Huntersville home. “This is all I need. As long as I have bread, I can make milk out of the snow,” she said.

And as the storm dusted cars, Emma and Easton Feehan made the most of their snow day. “I think this is really good… because kids love snow… but it’s so cold and the parents are gonna be like ‘Unh Unh!’,” Emma Feehan said.
