WASHINGTON, D.C. — Wednesday, President Obama will share his plan to deal with ISIS with the entire country.  The President met with Congressional leaders Tuesday.  He is asking leaders for their support, but says he doesn’t need their approval.

The plan includes air strikes already underway and strengthening the Iraqi government.  Republican leaders say they’re not convinced the President is prepared.

“It’s his responsibility to come up with a plan for dealing with this, and I think it is to his advantage and the country’s advantage to have Congress buy into that,” said Senate Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

The public address comes exactly a year after the President addressed Syria’s use of chemical weapons.  In the current conflict the President has reiterated the plan will not include boots on the ground.
