Suspect Wanted After Victim Was Shot In The Hand And Carjacked

KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC — Police are looking for a suspect involved in a shooting and carjacking Monday.

The incident happened on North Cansler Street at West King Street. Police say a black male suspect approached the victim’s car, showed a gun, and demanded money. The victim and suspect got into a struggle, according to reports, and was shot in the hand.

Police say the suspect then got into the victim’s green Chrysler 300 and took off.

The victim was taken to Gaston Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
