UNION COUNTY, NC — An 18-year-old teen from Matthews has been charged with more than 20 vehicles break-ins last month. 
Jacob Kemling is facing 26 felony charges and 11 misdemeanors in connection to the string of crimes.
According to reports, the break-ins happened in the Meriweather neighborhood in Indian Trail. Deputies say multiple residents woke up to find their vehicles had been broken into overnight.
Investigators say, in most cases, it seemed like Kemling was just looking for loose cash and coins.
Kemling is scheduled to appear in court on July 11. The investigation is still ongoing.
