Investigators Say Electrical Is To Blame For NW Charlotte House Fire
CHARLOTTE, NC — Investigators say a house fire in northwest Charlotte was accidentally caused by an electrical problem.
It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the blaze on Hammonds Street Friday afternoon. The family says the fire started at the back of the house and quickly moved inside.
A pregnant woman, her child and their dog escaped the flames. No one was injured.
Officials say the fire caused about $200,000 in damages.
