Search Continues for Missing Statesville Woman

STATESVILLE, NC – Family members are worried for the safety a 58-year-old Statesville woman.
Deborah Sabra has been missing for almost 10 days.

“Actually it’s been pretty quiet, too quiet if you ask me,” says Lisa Harris.

Harris has guardianship over Sabra, who is her sister.

“I’m frustrated and you know I’m feeling sadder and sadder cause I still don’t have her,” she says.

Neighbors saw Sabra leave her home on McLaughlin Ave with a woman in a red car June 1st.

Family members say it’s very unusual because she rarely left home and her only visitors are usually family and her nurse.

Sabra also has dementia and several other health problems.

Harris says her medicine and all her clothes are still inside her home.

“My sister, where is she going? She walks with a limp, she walks with a cane. She’s a diabetic. She has dementia. Where’s she going?” Harris asks.

Harris says family members are worried someone may have tried to take advantage of her or take her money.

She wants police to do more and in the mean time she won’t stop searching.

“The longer this goes and my sister is not found, the antsier I’m getting and I’m gonna keep turning over every rock and knocking on all the doors I can until I get my sister back,” Harris says.
