CHARLOTTE, N.C– Police have confirmed that a teenager has been killed in a shooting that took place on Hough Street in Monroe.
Authorities have identified the victim as 17- year-old Kalique Farmer.
This is the first homicide in Monroe this year.
The cause of the shooting is still unknown.
There are no suspects at this time, but Monroe police are investigating.
