Police Release Name Of Man Killed In Northwest Charlotte Shooting
CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating a homicide on North Hoskins Road in northwest Charlotte.
The shooting happened shortly after 7pm. Officers say they found 32-year-old Cornell Bridges in the driver seat of a white car which had hit a power pole on N. Hoskins Road near Brookshire Boulevard. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to reports, 911 had received calls of shots being fired on Hovis Road near Pinoca Street minutes before callers reported the man being shot in the car.
Police are investigating the area, but say they do not yet have a motive or suspect in the shooting. Police say they do however, have descriptions of people they are looking for.
