Morning clouds will gradually clear today with highs in the mid 40s to near 50 across the Piedmont. Overnight will be cold with lows falling into the teens and 20s. Wind chills in the mountains will make it feel like the single digits if not below zero. A reinforcing Arctic front on Tuesday will keep temperatures chilly with highs in the 30s and 40s through Wednesday. Temperatures moderate by the end of the week with highs back in the low 50s by Thursday and Friday. A system from the west will bring a wintry mix to the mountains this weekend and a cold rain across the rest of the area Friday night into Saturday before tapering off Sunday.
