CHARLOTTE, NC — Sean Hammond, of Monroe, has been sentenced to six years in prison on child pornography charges.
According to officials, Hammond, 29, was charged after investigators found that he was sharing child pornography on the internet back in March 2015. Investigators say Hammond was using a peer-to-peer network to share over 700 pictures and nearly 70 videos featuring minors, some prepubescent, engaging in sexual activities.
In November 2016, Hammond pleaded guilty to one count of receipt and one count of possession of child pornography.
Court officials also say Hammond will be required to serve a lifetime of supervised release and register as a sex offender following his prison sentence.
