Activists Protest Animal Cruelty Outside The Capital Grill
CHARLOTTE, NC — A local non-profit is trying to raise awareness about the cruelty of animals raised for food service.
Dozens of Human League activists protested outside the Capital Grill in Uptown Thursday. They say the Darden Corporation, which owns the restaurant, buys chickens that are grown to unhealthy sizes for people to eat.
We reached out to the Darden Corporation for a comment, but have not heard back.
