CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man is in custody after firing a gun during a domestic dispute.
The CMPD says Colton Threadgill, 24, has been arrested and charged with Assault on a Female, Discharging a Firearm in the City Limit, and Felony Assault by Strangulation.
According to police, on July 6, 2017, Threadgill assaulted a female victim at an apartment in the 8300 block of Parkland Circle.
As the victim attempted to leave, Threadgill fired a gun into the ground outside of the apartment.
CMPD officers arrived as the shot was fired and were immediately able to remove the victim from danger.
Officers took Threadgill into custody without further incident, following a short standoff.
