Charlotte, N.C.— Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) is rolling out the blueprints to success and bringing on-site admissions, scholarships and transfer credit evaluations directly to the heart of the Queen City. The university’s highly anticipated Blueprint: Build Your Future at ECSU tour will kick off in Charlotte Thursday, Feb. 15, at Friendship Baptist Church.
“Charlotte, get ready to draft your dreams,” said Interim Chancellor Catherine Edmonds. “We’re excited to begin our tour in such a vibrant city. This is more than a visit—it’s the start of a transformational journey for future Vikings.”
Attendees will have access to:
- On-site admissions: Apply to ECSU and receive decisions on the spot.
- Scholarship opportunities: Learn about funding to make college more affordable.
- Transfer credit evaluations: Get a head start by finding out how your existing credits align with ECSU’s programs.
Attendees can also expect to engage with alumni, athletics and residence life team members and current students. Financial aid experts will also be available to offer personalized information on financial support, scholarships and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Interim Chancellor Catherine Edmonds will also be present to engage with prospective students and their families and to award three $1,000 scholarships.
“We want students in Charlotte to know that ECSU is ready to help them build a strong foundation for their futures,” said Karen Lucas, associate vice chancellor for enrollment management. “At this event, students can learn how ECSU can be their pathway to success.”
The Blueprint: Build Your Future at ECSU tour is designed to bring the university’s resources to communities across North Carolina, empowering students and families to take the next steps in their educational journeys. Other stops include Winston-Salem March 29 and Raleigh April 5.
