Watch: Oxygen tank explodes in garbage truck

An oxygen tank exploded after being put in the back of a garbage truck.

This happened Wednesday outside of Columbus, Ohio.

The worker narrowly escapes without getting hurt.

The body cam video shows police when they got there. Pieces of trash were still scattered in the street and in the front lawns.

Police say the explosion was so loud, it set off the town’s gunshot detection system.

“It sounded like a bomb went off,” one citizen said. “It was chaos for a minute. There was trash everywhere.”

Right after the explosion, the back of the truck then catches on fire, and the crew has to rush to put out the flames.
