One person treated for smoke inhalation after west Charlotte fire
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person was treated for smoke inhalation following a house fire in west Charlotte.
It happened around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at a home on Woodway Place.
Firefighters controlled the blaze in under 15 minutes.
One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not require a transport to the hospital. Two residents have been displaced.
An investigation determined that the fire was accidental. The fire started in the kitchen underneath a side-by-side refrigerator or freezer.
Investigators also said that there were no smoke detectors in the home.
The fire caused approximately $43,000 in property damage.
