Charlotte breaks a nearly century old record high temperature

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte reached 80° on Tuesday, breaking the previous record for February 4th which was 76° set in 1927.This comes after 88 days with no 80°+ day in the city. This is also the 3rd earliest 80° day on record. It was on February 2nd and 3rd in 1989 temperatures reached 80° and 81°.
