CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person died and four others were injured in a car crash on I-85 early Saturday morning.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the northbound I-85 lanes near Exit 40.
Medical personnel responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene. Another was transported to Atrium Main with life-threatening injuries. Three others were transported with serious injuries.
Additional details about the crash are limited at this time.
I-85 North was closed for several hours Saturday morning. The highway reopened around 8:15 a.m.
