GASTONIA, N.C. — Police are trying to find out who shot and killed a man overnight, making the 3rd shooting in the city in two days.
The victim, Richard Albernathy, was killed on Balthis Drive around midnight.
Officers reportedly have several people in custody, but haven’t arrested anyone.
Police also believe the two other shootings in Gastonia are connected.
The first happened in the parking lot of a club called Broncos on West Franklin Boulevard around Midnight on Sunday
The second happened outside the McDonald’s on Hudson Boulevard and Union Road a short time later.
At this moment, police have yet to arrest anyone.
