CHARLOTTE, NC – Firefighters put out a fourth fire Thursday morning at the old Wilmore School on West Boulevard.
Charlotte Fire got the call around 8am and says firefighters found smoke coming through the roof when they arrived.
It took 60 firefighters about 30 minutes to get the 2-alarm fire under control.
The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force responded to the scene and determined the fire had been intentionally set.
There were similar fires at the closed school on January 27, January 29 and February 6, 2025.
Charlotte Fire says Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested a suspect connect to all four arsons, but CMPD has not released any details.
