CHARLOTTE, NC — A husband has been charged with the murder of his wife after she was found dead on July 7th.
Police say Alton Morton Jr., 35, has been charged with murdering his wife, 35-year-old Heidi Morton. Mrs. Morton was found unresponsive at their home on Dusty Trail Road around 8pm on Friday, July 7th, according to police, and pronounced dead on the scene.
After an investigation into her death and reviewing the results of her autopsy, investigators determined that her death was a homicide.
Mr. Morton was charged with Murder Wednesday.
