Hurney Is Back With The Panthers

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Panthers announced Wednesday that Marty Hurney will serve as Interim General Manager following the release of Dave Gettleman.

Hurney served as GM for the Panthers from 2002-2012 and says he is ready to hit the ground running. Hurney says he has stayed in touch with owner Jerry Richardson, and that there is a lot of trust between the two.

With training camp set to kick off next week, the EDGE panel is weighing in on whether the Panthers are better off with Hurney back in charge.
