Crews Investigating Two-Alarm Warehouse Fire In NW Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, NC — Fire and hazmat crews are on the scene of a two-alarm warehouse fire in northwest Charlotte.
The fire started just after 7pm at a warehouse container business on Lawton Road. Shortly before 8pm, a second alarm was pulled as crews continued to battle the blaze.
Employees were evacuated, and there were no injuries reported.
Officials say it took 46 firefighters about an hour to get the situation under control. Hazmat crews also responded due to unknown chemicals that were stored inside the facility.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
