CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Firefighters were called to put out a fire at a home in SouthPark Tuesday morning.
Charlotte Fire Department says the fire broke out around 7 a.m. at a home in the 7000 block of Old Dairy Lane, near SouthPark Mall.
Firefighters reported seeing heavy fire and smoke showing from the two-story home when they arrived. The fire itself was put out after 52 minutes, crews say they are investigating the cause of the break-out.
Officials say an electrical issue sparked the early morning blaze that caused more than $450,000 worth of damage. Tax records show the home is valued at roughly $2.4 million.
