SHELBY, N.C. – The Shelby Police Department have released the names of the two victims killed in Saturday’s fatal accident.Β
55-year-old Dorman Keith Pompey and 55-year-old Frances Parks Pompey were killed on Saturday when Demetrist Roberts ran a red light and crashed into a 2007 Ford Taurus at the intersection of Marion and Lafayette Street.
A child, the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Pompey, was ejected from the vehicle. The child is currently being treated at Carolina’s Medical Center.Β
Roberts is being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center without bond.
