Suspect charged after shooting at party in Rock Hill

UPDATE:

ROCK HILL, SC – A man first believed to be a victim is now charged in connection to a shooting at a party in Rock Hill.

The shooting happened on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Police say 18-year-old Gregory Watts of Charlotte faces charges of attempted murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Crime of Violence.

Watts is currently in the hospital being treated for injuries during the shooting.

A judge denied bond for Watts so he will go to jail once he’s released from the hospital.

ROCK HILL, SC – Four people are recovering after a shooting over the weekend at an apartment in Rock Hill.

Rock Hill Police were called to a complex on Heather Square around 9:15 pm on Saturday.

Investigators say the victims and other people were at a ‘social gathering’ in the apartment when the shooting happened.

There’s no word who started shooting or why. No arrests have been made so far.

Police say a 27-year-old man is being treated for life-threatening injuries and the other three victims are being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
