Trump Administration bars schools from using race as a factor in student life

WASHINGTON, DC — The Trump Administration is ordering all educational institutions to not consider race as a factor in student life.
The Department of Education sent out a letter to schools that receive federal financial assistance.
The letter warned schools will lose their federal funding if they treat a person of one race differently than another person of a different race.
The new policy aligns with the Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling in 2023, overturned a long-standing precedent on affirmative action.
