Winsome warm-up ahead
Sunshine and minimal rain chances over the next several days will allow for temperatures 10-15º above average by midweek.
The weekend is off to a wonderful start – Saturday marks Charlotte’s first time in the 50s since Tuesday – and it gets even better over the next few days. We’ll put the “sun” in Sunday as highs jump near 60º around the Metro to close out the weekend. The High Country gets in on the warmer air as well, topping out near 50º on February’s final weekend afternoon.
The good times roll into the workweek as highs continue to rise well into the 50s and 60s across the board on Monday. Temperatures appear likely to reach 70º in the Queen City and southward on Tuesday and Wednesday as southwesterly winds pump warm Gulf air into the Carolinas. All good things eventually come to an end; sadly, this beautiful stretch of weather will, too. Models are suggesting a cold front will cruise into our area from the northwest by Thursday evening. While rain chances aren’t especially high, it will likely bring a few scattered showers into the Carolinas as cooler air slides in behind it.
