TROUTMAN, NC – For the second time in two weeks, a motorcycle driver has passed a stopped school bus in Iredell County.
The latest incident happened Wednesday on Hoover Road at Marthas Vineyard Drive in Troutman.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a man on a motorcycle passed a stopped school bus with its warning lights activated and stop arm extended while children were loading the bus.
The Highway Patrol says the suspect is 32-year-old Martavis Parsons of Mooresville.
There are arrest warrants out for Parsons. He several charges, including passing a stopped school bus, driving while his license was revoked, careless and reckless driving and improper passing.

The Highway Patrol arrested another man earlier this week for passing another stopped school bus on Wallace Springs Road on February 18, 2025.
James Jordan of Statesville is charged with passing a stopped school bus, careless and reckless driving, and no motorcycle endorsement.
