Customer Grazed By Bullet During East Charlotte Armed Robbery
CHARLOTTE, NC –A female customer was grazed by a bullet when suspects fired a shot into her van during an east Charlotte armed robbery.
The manager at the Giant Genie Pharmacy on the corner of Central Avenue and Morningside Drive says two armed men came in the store Friday afternoon and hoped the counter, knocking down the clerk. The men stole drugs, the manager says, and then fired a shot into a customer’s van as they went to leave.
The bullet went through the windshield and grazed the woman’s arm, but did not cause any serious injury. Medic says she was treated on scene and did not need to be transported.
Police say they are looking for two suspects, but do not have an accurate description because the men’s faces were covered up.
Their were no other injuries reported. The store will be closed for the rest of today, as well as tomorrow.
