Fans Hope Rain & Storms Hold off for Final Round of PGA Championship

CHARLOTTE, NC – Sunday morning, golfers tee off for the final round of the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.

Organizers hope Mother Nature will keep the rain and storms away.

That wasn’t the case Friday. Play was suspended for nearly two hours because of rain late in the afternoon.

Golfers finished up the second round first thing Saturday morning before round three got underway.

Overall 200,000 fans are expected to attend the championship from all around the world..

The event is also being seen in more than 200 countries and territories around the globe, putting Charlotte in the international spotlight.

Overall the PGA Championship is expected to bring a $100 Million economic impact to the region.
