Duke is the most hated college basketball team for 2025, according to a recent study from BetOnline.
The study used X data from the past month to track the most negative tweets about men’s college basketball teams.
Over 70,000 tweets were tracked and Duke received the most with 6,396. North Carolina, the Blue Devils’ rival, only ranked 17th with 1,371 tweets.
Other teams to crack the top 10 were Florida, Kentucky, Kansas, Ohio State, and Michigan.
Duke has been a perennial program for decades, winning three championships since 2000. The Blue Devils are one of the best teams this season, with a 27-3 overall record and a 18-1 record in the ACC.
Duke is projected to be a No. 1 seed, according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.
