Bald eagle family’s three eggs hatch on Nest Cam

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – A Nest Cam caught the hatching of a bald eagle couple’s three eggs this week.

The eaglet triplets are going viral on social media and leaving the snowy town of Big Bear in quite a flutter.

This is very rare for bald eagles, and it’s been three years since mom and dad, Jackie and Shadow, have had chicks. The first two hatched on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, while the last hatched on Saturday morning.

The chicks will need 10 to 14 weeks before they can fly.

You can watch the live Nest Cam on the Friends of Big Bear Valley YouTube channel.
