PAGELAND, SC — The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office says they seized five pounds of marijuana, multiple weapons, and an undisclosed amount of cash during a search Sunday.
Deputies say they were called to a home on Maples Road after someone reported that 24-year-old Gerald Jones was in possession of stolen guns. Jones’ roommate, 25-year-old Desmond Blakeney, let deputies inside the home. Jones, who was not home at the time, gave deputies permission over the phone to search his locked room.
Officials say they found several weapons, a large amount of marijuana, and cash inside Jones’ room. Deputies say they then obtained warrants to search the rest of the house and found additional marijuana.
Blakeney was arrested at the home, and deputies say Jones agreed to turn himself in when he returned to Chesterfield County.
