CMPD Holds Community Safety Forum

CHARLOTTE, NC — Chief Kerr Putney and other officers answered questions Thursday night about recent crime in east Charlotte.

The forum was held at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Residents say there has been a change in the dynamic of their neighborhood, and say the forums help bridge the gap between officers and the community.

They help offer a different perspective when it comes to fighting crime.
