LANCASTER, S.C. β A motorcyclist died after striking a utility pole in Lancaster County on Friday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
It happened around 10 p.m. on Taxahaw Road near Dahlia Road, approximately five miles east of Lancaster.
Troopers said a 2024 Honda CMX-500 motorcycle was traveling west on Taxahaw Road. The driver then drove off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
The motorcyclist died at the scene as a result of their injuries.
The driverβs name has not been released.
