CHARLOTTE, NC– Detectives have reportedly identified the suspects responsible for killing five people in 1979.
On July 4, 1979, officers say they responded to a call to Allen Road South after a person located five dead bodies inside a clubhouse of a possible biker gang.
Detectives say they were not able to obtain enough evidence to convict persons of interest, Gregory Scott Lindaman and Randy Allen Pigg,Β at the time of the crime.
CMPD’s Cold case unit were later able to gather evidence to confirm that the two suspects were in fact the men responsible for the five murders in 1979.
Authorities say a conflict led to the murders and that they were possibly tied to the Hell’s Angle’s biker gang.
Lindaman was reportedly killed in a car accident in 1990 and Pigg later died from liver failure in 2007.
CMPD says they will be clearing the case by Death of Offender, after confiming the suspects responsible for the murders.
