LENOIR, N.C. β One person died after a single-vehicle crash in Caldwell County late Saturday night, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Around 11:30 p.m., troopers responded to Playmore Beach Road near Pax Hill Road to investigate a fatal collision.Β
Investigators said 33-year-old Coty Adams was traveling south on Playmore Beach Road in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, went down an embankment, overturned, and struck a tree.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
