President Trump Continues Tour of Harvey Disaster Area

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — President Trump may take a second tour of Texas this weekend.

The President and First Lady met with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, the state’s two senators, and FEMA director Brock Long in Corpus Christie on Tuesday.

The couple also toured an emergency operations center in Austin, where the President praised relief efforts and promised full federal support.

“We’re gonna be working with Congress on helping out Texas/Probably never been anything so expensive in U.S. history”, stated the President,
“I will tell you this is historic, it’s epic, what happened. But you know what, it happened in Texas and Texas can handle anything.”

The White House says the President chose not to visit the hardest-hit parts of Texas on Tuesday to avoid disrupting the on-going rescue efforts.

We’ve also learned that President Trump could go to Louisiana this weekend.
