Witnesses: Boy Killed In Dog Attack Climbed Fence

Β HENDERSONVILLE, NC —Β Witnesses say a little boy killed during a pit bull attack Had climbed a fence to get into the dog’s yard to visit his friend. Β That attack happened Tuesday in Hendersonville.
Neighbors say the six-year-old boy often stayed with his grandparents, who lived next door to the dog. Β Deputies shot and killed the dog to get to the boy, But they were too late.
“It was just heart breaking,” said Diane Henault. Β “He was just the sweetest little boy, full of life, looking forward to his little sister. Β My heart just goes out to the family because Amanda is like 8 months pregnant.”
Other neighbors say the dog has gotten out of its yard in the past, and they considered it aggressive.
