Panthers raise ticket prices 6% for upcoming season
CHARLOTTE, NC — The Carolina Panthers are raising ticket prices 6% despite only winning 5 games last season.
A Panthers spokesperson tells WCCB Charlotte the 6% increase is an average of all the levels except the upper level. The upper level pricesΒ will not be increased.
The team has a total of 7 wins in the last two seasons. Yet, they’ve raised tickets a total of 10% on average in that time.
Fans tell us they could live with the price increase if the team was better.
“It feels like it’s more of a money grab at this point for Bank of America and Dave Tepper than anything else. Panthers games are fun, but it also sucks having to pay a lot of money to just watch them lose,” said Panthers fans Chantz Halverson.
According to a Panthers spokesperson, 80% of teams raised prices for next season. Also saying the Panthers ranked 20th in the league for non-premium ticket pricing.
