Police Are Searching For A Missing 42-Year-Old Charlotte Woman

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police need help locating a 42-year-old woman that was last seen on August 25th.

According to reports, Shawna Jones was reported missing on Sunday, August 27th by her roommate Earnest Hooper. Hooper told police Jones had left her Walter Street home during the evening of Friday, August 25th and never returned. Police say she has also had no contact with family or friends.

Jones was last seen driving a red 4-door 2016 Mazda 6 with NC license plate DHB-5791, which was found abandoned on September 6th in South Carolina. Police say the car was located on the ramp for east bound I-26 from 17 Alternate in Berkeley County.

Shawna Jones is described as a black female, 5’6″, 115 lbs, brown eyes, and short black hair.
