4 Dead After Car Turns Out In Front Of Tractor Trailer In Union County, Victims Identified

WAXHAW, NC — Officials say multiple people died in an accident involving one car and a tractor trailer Monday afternoon.

The accident happened shortly after 3pm on Lancaster Highway at Nesbit Road. The Union County Sheriff’s Office says four deaths have been confirmed as a result of the accident.

Officials say Dale Kennedy, 66, of Canaan, NH was driving the car. Troopers say June Allen, 68, Michael Allen, 27, and Jesse Winters, 36, all from Lebannon, NH, were also riding in the vehicle.

A trooper on scene says Kennedy was making a left turn onto Lancaster Highway, and pulled out in front of the tractor trailer. A witness on scene says the she looked right but not left before pulling out.
