One dead, three injured from multi-car crash in Gastonia

One person is dead and three others are seriously injured following a three-car crash in Gastonia on Friday night.

It happened around 8 p.m. near Hoffman Road and Pine Creek Road.

Three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, police think speed could have been a factor.

A witness says a white car was racing another car when he hit the 4 Runner head-on.
