Β CHARLOTTE, NC —Β Four puppies tied up in a trash bag and dumped at a gas station are recovering. Β A man doing lawn care nearby found them and brought them to the Indian Land Animal Hospital. Β The three males and one female are only about a week old. Β The vet says the dogs were dirty, but well-fed.
“So far so good,” said Lisa Shaw of the Animal Hospital. Β “The smallest one, the runt of the litter, is having a little bit of an issue with some respiratory problems, but so far so good. Β We’ll keep our fingers crossed.”
The Animal Hospital hopes to get the dogs ready for adoption. Β The person who dumped the dogs faces criminal charges. Β If you know something about the abandoned puppies, call police.
