Couch Chat: Dangerous Seats At The Game

We have to talk about the heart breaking moment, a little girl was hit by a foul ball at Yankee Stadium.
Get this… the ball was going about 105 miles per hour when it hit the 2 year old and knocked her unconscious Wednesday.
She’s okay now, but the game stopped for four minutes, while some of the players wiped tears. Others were so shaken… they dropped to their knees.
This is the second time in about a month that a foul ball has hit a fan at Yankee Stadium. The team said it would consider extending protective netting after that hit.

Here in Charlotte, a 6 year old ended up in the ICU after getting hit at a Knights Game in May of 2016. That’s after the team spent $75,000 on safety netting.

Major league baseball leaves it up to individual teams to set their own security rules. The hit keep happening in both the minor and majors… so what’s the next step? Should it be a requirement for all teams?
