ROCK HILL, SC – A man and his daughter were found dead inside a home that caught fire in Rock Hill on Friday.
Firefighters were called to the home on Deas Street near Cherry Road around 7:30 in the morning.
Fire officials say the fire had extinguished itself by the time firefighters arrived.Β They found 63-year-old Sammylee Roseborough and his 9-year-old daughter Simaya Roseborough dead.
Rock Hill Police, Rock Hill Fire and SLED are investigating what caused the fire and what killed them.
Officials say smoke detectors inside the home were working.
